New Horizons in Education is intended as a bilingual [English and Chinese] forum to stimulate and enhance professional development and practice in education. We publish papers that speak directly to practical school and classroom concerns as well as articles that are based on systematic inquiries into educational issues and practices. We also report studies of new developments and innovative ideas tried out in schools. Subscribers of our journal include teachers and educators, kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, and university libraries. Readers from 106 different countries around the world can also access our journal by internet. Authors and reviewers mainly come from 17 different countries [Australia, Canada, China, Japan, Macau, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UK, USA] besides Hong Kong.

Our journal is open to every author who is interested in getting their work published, we target to be an author-friendly journal. Manuscripts are welcomed for review (anonymous) through out the year. Accepted articles will be appearing in either the May, October or December issue depending on the number of articles lined up for publication. For your information, the duration of review is about 6 weeks in the last 14 years. The acceptance rate in the last two years is around 0.3.

[Special Issues]: Our journal will launch a special issue [Vol.57, No.3] about [service learning] in December 2009. Authors who are interested in the topic are welcome to send in their manuscripts for review.
